I am often called on to speak at conferences, events and college courses across the UK (and more recently internationally).

I am also asked to join boards a lot but I am currently cutting down my board committments but am still currently Chair of Governors at Acocks Green Primary School. Past boards have included being Chair of Sound It Out Community Music (2005-2010), Black Voices (2007-2008), Moby Duck (2006-2010), Birmingham International Jazz Festival (2007-2009) and Regional Council of Arts Council England West Midlands (2004-2010).
