  9. Hi Clare,

Hope you’re well! I have very much enjoyed reading about your work on your site, and about the Voices Now Festival on Twitter. Great to see such inspiring vocal collaborations happening in London and beyond.

I am writing from ‘The Voice Festival UK’ – a nation-wide touring contemporary a cappella festival, which includes workshops, master-classes, social events and competitions. In February this year we brought the festival to Birmingham for the first time and had a really successful set of events there, in the Guild. We are looking forward to building on this success to create bigger and better events next year. As part of this we would love to include more outreach work, and to invite singers from the local community to our workshops and to support the competitions. If you know of any choirs/a cappella groups in the Birmingham area who you think would enjoy being a part of the Festival then we’d be really glad to hear about them. We are also looking to create a mentoring partnership scheme whereby a cappella groups from Birmingham University work with singers from local schools or youth groups, to help increase their confidence through singing and performing. Again, if you know of any schools or youth groups who you think would benefit from this then we’d love to make contact with them.

Keep up all the wonderful work in bringing music to wider audiences!

    With best wishes,

    Alexandra
    The Voice Festival UK
